PICKNICING AND ZIPLINING

Once we flew into Idaho Falls we attended a family picnic.
It was for all my mother-in-law's brothers and sisters and their families.
We ate and played.
It was especially nice to re-connected with people
who some of them I had not seen for 10 to 15 years.

Oh, how time flies.

It was also nice to have a picnic out in a park.
Something, we in Vegas can not really enjoy
during summer with our intense heat.

Next day we went to Heise Hot Springs and swam and did ziplining.

All harnessed up and ready to
FLY!

First we had to be taken on top of the mountain

Our first zip lining tower.
(We all got to make three different runs).

OUR FAMILY TRIP

Every year my wonderful in-laws organize a family trip for all of us.

Throughout the years we have been in back East, visiting the Church History sites, we have played in Disneyland, cruised Alaska, partied on a Disney Boat in Mexico, relaxed in a beach in San Diego...you name it...we have probably done it.

This year's trip was up to Idaho to visit family and do some ziplining and swimming in Heise hotsprings.
Then we drove up to Yellowstone, where we visited some beautiful sites.
Eventually we ended up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where we spent rest of the week playing hard.

More posts to follow about our trip.

But I did want to take this time to
THANK MY IN-LAWS
for all the wonderful trips and good times we have had
this year, and all those years in the past.

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family,
and after all these years we still love to spend time together!!!

FLOOR MAKEOVER

Five years ago, when we moved into our home,
one of the to-do things were to replace the flooring in one of our bathrooms.
It was a white tile,
with grout which had got dark over time,
with some of the tiles broken.

Unfortunately I forgot to take before pictures of the bathroom,
but here are pictures of the finished floor.

So pretty!

BEST NEIGHBORS EVER

Night before our family trip to Idaho and Wyoming we had a huge storm moving through our city.
It rained, hailed, and winds were reported to be up to 69 mph.

When we woke up next morning our yard was a mess!
Unfortunately we had to leave to the airport at 6:30 am, so there was no way we were able to clean up anything.
Throughout the week,
while in Idaho and Wyoming,
I would think about our backyard, and how much work it would be to clean up.
I figured that I would be working on it all week once getting back home.

Good thing our pool was covered, because otherwise our pool filter would have been a mess!

The roads were covered with rocks and dirt.

Imagine my surprise...
the best surprise ever!...
when we returned home a week later and this is how our yard looked like.

Our neighbors had cleaned everything up!
Can I just brag a little and tell you: "We have the best neighbors in a whole wide world!"

We love you!

I LOVE SUMMER STORMS

Last night we had a wonderful summer storm.

Once it got dark, we had rain, thunder and lightning.
We all went outside to the back patio, sat there, and enjoyed the light show.

Scooby was the only one who decided to hide inside.

This last picture was taken by my neighbor.
Thanks Sandra for always being there with your camera!
