Years ago my aunt made this Family Tree.
She made it by hand. Drawing each leaf, writing each name by hand. Photocopying photos and gluing and pasting them into a poster board. This was the time before the mass computer time. Beginning of 1990s.
When one of us would graduate or get married she would give us one of these Family Trees as a present. I have always treasured it.
Time has turned the white poster board yellow, but it still hangs proudly on our wall.
Drawing attention from family and friends.
For years we I have wanted to make one of these from my parents family as well as my in-laws side. But gathering the information has always seemed like such a daunting task.
However, this year I finally made it happen, and just in time for Christmas.
The Family Trees turned out great.
In the middle are the grandparents.
Then all the children with spouses and all the grandkids. The roots are the ancestors.
I love having these hang on my wall.
